Good to know
Questions, answered
The things couples ask us most. If your question is not here, just ask and we will give you a straight answer.
Planning and flexibility
Making it yours
How flexible are you, really?
Very. We are free of tie and happy to say yes. Bring your own suppliers, your own drinks and your own running order, and we will build the day around you.
Can we bring our own suppliers?
Of course. We have a recommended suppliers list to make life easier, but you are more than welcome to source others who are not on it.
Can you get specific drinks in for us?
Yes. We are free of tie, so we can buy in anything you would like served at your wedding.
Is the food really cooked in-house?
Yes. Our own restaurant, True North, caters every wedding, and every couple gets a one-to-one tasting to choose the menu.
The day itself
The ceremony and the party
Is there a late licence?
Yes, with no noise restrictions, so the party runs as late as you like rather than stopping when you are told to.
How many guests can you hold?
Up to 200 for a ceremony and wedding breakfast, and up to 250 into the evening.
Can we hold the ceremony at the venue?
Yes. We are licensed for indoor civil ceremonies for up to 200 guests. Registrars are arranged through Calderdale Registry Office.
Do you do smaller or twilight weddings?
Yes. Our Late Afternoon and Evening Reception packages are built for fewer guests and a later start.
Getting here
Practical bits
Is parking free?

Are you accessible?
Yes. The venue is fully accessible, with designated parking right in front of the door.
Can we bring our pets?
Yes, we are a pet-friendly venue.
Is there accommodation?
The venue does not have its own bedrooms, but Dean Clough is central in Halifax with a choice of hotels close by.
